Director, NCTS (National Centre for Technical Services)

Description:

To lead, manage, and grow the operations of NCTS by delivering high-quality technical services, consultancy, training, and industry development initiatives in the Indian foundry sector, while ensuring operational efficiency, financial discipline, and alignment with IIF’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Coordination
- Coordinate and monitor various NCTS projects to ensure completion without time or cost overruns, in line with approved budgets.
- Track, record, and report all project expenses and income as a designated Cost Centre.
- Prepare viable work plans for NCTS in consultation with the Chairman and panel of experts, ensuring timely implementation.
- Prepare and monitor the annual NCTS budget on a monthly basis, ensuring operations remain within financial limits and achieving cost control for self-sustainability.
2. Technical Services & Industry Support
- Provide and arrange technical services, expertise, and consultancy to foundries in areas such as technologies, quality systems, and process improvements.
- Maintain and engage a panel of industry experts to meet the needs of the foundry sector.
- Use, maintain, and upgrade the simulation software installed at NCTS-IIF for industry applications.
- Interact with foundries to identify service requirements and organize targeted technical programs accordingly.
- Assist foundries in forming and managing industry cluster activities.
3. Knowledge Management & Training
- Maintain inventory of NCTS publications, CDs, DVDs, and Information Sheets.
- Develop and release knowledge materials (CDs, information sheets) on foundry practices and technology.
- Organize training programs, workshops, seminars, and technical events across India.
4. Government & Industry Liaison
- Coordinate with government bodies and industry associations to promote foundry-related initiatives.
- Promote and facilitate government schemes for the benefit of IIF and its members.
- Collaborate with IIF Head Office and other Centres of Excellence for the promotion and smooth functioning of NCTS.
5. Administration & Finance
- Monitor daily functioning and administrative operations of NCTS, including supervision of subordinate staff.
- Maintain proper books of accounts for NCTS, including organizing audits of projects and centres as required.
- Work towards increasing IIF membership through NCTS activities and outreach.

6, Marketing and Promotion
Marketing and Promotion of The Centre and its various services all over India
7. ISO and Quality Management
Monitoring and adhering to the quality system (ISO 9000) implemented in the NCTS.
8. Other Duties

- Perform any other responsibilities or activities as assigned by IIF Management.
