The FAA Jasdanwalla Library located at the IIF Centre at Kolkata,is aimed at keeping the Foundry fraternity technologically abreast of global developments by using modern forms of disseminating information.
The Library contains books on subjects like:
Casting,Cupola,Foundry,Welding,Quality Control,Machinability,Pollution etc.The Reference category includes Handbooks,Directories,Yearbooks,Guidebooks and Dictionaries among others.Databases of articles in the library, published in The Indian Foundry Journal,The Indian Foundry Congress,The World Foundry Congress,The BCIRA broadsheets,lectures presented at seminars etc.Foreign and Indian technical journals in English and other languages are also available here. The Foundrymen can browse through monthly bulletins,Newsletters,Magazines and Statistical data to know the current trends in their sphere of work.Photocopies of various reference materials can be provided at nominal rates.
Viewing Terminal of F.A.A. Jasdanwalla Library Inaugurated
F.A.A. Jasdanwalla Library at IIF Center, Kolkata opened its Viewing Terminal to library users on May 28, 2012.Prof. P. K. Mitra, Editor, Indian Foundry Journal in presence of Dr. B. K. Basak, Chairman, Library Advisory Committee; Mr. A.Guha, Chairman, CET; Mr. B. Dutta, ED, IIF and Mr. S. K. Maulik, Member, Library Advisory Committee and others inaugurated the Viewing Terminal. Library users can see at this viewing terminal soft copy of AFS Transactions, technical papers of Indian Foundry Journal, CDs/ DVDs of CET and NCTS, Product Catalogues etc. during library hours |
